Florida dumpster rental in plain terms
FL Roll Off Rental arranges dumpster rental in Florida by phone. You call (407) 250-9022, describe the job, and we line up a roll-off container from an independent local hauler that already works your area. The provider drops the dumpster where you want it, leaves it for the rental period you agreed, and hauls it to a licensed disposal or recycling site when you are done. You deal with one phone number and one quote.
We cover the whole peninsula and the Panhandle: Tampa Bay, Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, the Treasure Coast, Orlando and Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Pensacola, and Lee County around Fort Myers and Cape Coral. If your town is not on the list, call anyway. Most providers run well beyond the city limits printed on their trucks.
Why Florida jobs are a little different
A dumpster is a dumpster, but Florida projects throw up a few things that catch people out:
- Weight, not just volume. Roof tile, wet sod, pavers, shell rock and pool-deck concrete fill a container's weight allowance long before they fill it to the brim. A quote should state how many tons are included.
- Storm season. From June through November, a named storm can tie up every container in a county for weeks. Planned jobs are easier to book in winter and spring.
- HOAs and deed rules. Large parts of the state sit inside homeowner associations, many of which set limits on how long a container can sit in a driveway, or ask you to notify them first.
- Green waste rules. Florida keeps yard trash out of lined household landfills, so a load of palm fronds and oak limbs often goes to a separate yard-waste or mulch facility. Mixing it with drywall or furniture can cost you.
- Sand and soft ground. Containers are heavy. On sandy lots and lawns, a provider will usually want the dumpster on concrete or asphalt, or on boards.
How the booking works
- Call. Give us the address, the type of debris and your dates. Photos help if the provider asks for them.
- Get matched. We put you in touch with a hauler that services your county and stocks the size you need.
- Confirm the quote. The provider tells you the price, the included weight, the rental period and anything that would add a fee. Ask questions before you agree.
- Fill it. Load evenly and keep debris below the top rail. Do not add banned items (see the FAQ).
- Call for pickup. When it is full or the period ends, the provider swaps or removes it.
Who calls us
Homeowners clearing a garage or remodeling a kitchen. Property managers turning over units between tenants. Roofers and remodelers who need a container on a job site by Monday. Landscapers with a lot full of storm limbs. Families dealing with an estate. If you have more debris than a weekly curbside pickup can handle, a roll-off is usually the cheaper and faster route than multiple trips to a transfer station.

Four sizes cover almost every job
Roll-off dumpsters are sold by volume in cubic yards. Florida haulers most often stock the four sizes below; some also carry a 15-yard. Weight matters as much as volume here, because wet sod, tile and concrete are heavy.
| Container | Rough footprint | Where it fits in Florida |
|---|---|---|
| 10-yard | About 12 ft long, 8 ft wide, low walls | Bathroom gut, paver patio breakout, one-car garage clear-out, concrete or block in small amounts |
| 20-yard | About 22 ft long, 8 ft wide | Kitchen remodel, flooring tear-out, shingle roof on a typical ranch home, a yard full of storm limbs |
| 30-yard | About 22 ft long, taller walls | Whole-house cleanout, larger additions, drywall and cabinets after a flood |
| 40-yard | About 22 ft long, tallest walls | Commercial build-outs, big demolition of light material, multi-unit turnovers |
Footprints are approximate and vary between haulers. For typical market price ranges by size, see dumpster rental pricing; for a matched size, read what size dumpster you need.

Florida dumpster questions, answered
How do I rent a dumpster in Florida through FL Roll Off Rental?
Call (407) 250-9022 with the delivery address, what you are throwing out, and when you need the container. We pass the job to an independent hauler that serves your county, and that provider confirms the size, the price and the drop-off day with you.
What does a dumpster rental usually cost in Florida?
Fixr cost data (2025), checked October 2026, puts a typical week-long roll-off rental in the US between $200 and $550, and a 20-yard between $275 and $450. Florida quotes move with landfill fees, the weight of the load and storm-season demand, so call for an exact price.
Which parts of Florida do you cover?
We have city pages for Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Port St. Lucie, Orlando, Daytona Beach, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Pensacola, Fort Myers and Cape Coral, and we take calls from the towns around them.
Can I put a dumpster on my driveway?
Usually, yes. A driveway is private property, so most Florida cities do not ask for a permit there, though your HOA may have its own rules. Ask the provider about boards under the wheels if your driveway is pavers or decorative concrete.
Can I rent a dumpster for hurricane cleanup?
Yes, and it is one of the busiest times of year. Keep vegetative debris separate from building materials, check what your county will collect from the curb for free, and call as early as you safely can.
